The Geohealth Lab at the Dasman Diabetes Institute in collaboration with the George Institute of Global Health,  the Public authority of Food and Nutrition (PAFN) and Aadiliya Cooperative Society completed data collection for the FoodSwitch mobile App.  This is a first step towards launching the App which aims to empowers consumers to make better food choices by providing simple health information on a scanned product and suggesting healthier alternatives to ‘switch’ to.  DDI is working on building a nutrient composition database for food products in Kuwait to support research and awareness to help improve our food environments.
