Our IT Department is an enabler to the Sectors' projects and initiatives. We offer various services to different departments within DDI, allowing for their projects to be executed efficiently. We constantly invest in resources that strengthen DDI's robust infrastructure for a data-driven future. We aim to create a data governance framework, develop systems for the smooth execution of the workflow and build an Electronic Health Record tailored to the Institute's medical and research needs.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are utilized to enable researchers and decision-makers to perform spatially-based research to evaluate geographic variations in factors driving glycaemic disease and its complications, the access, availability and effectiveness of treatment options and outreach strategies for prevention. DDI's partnership with the University of Canberra, DDI-UC GeoHealth Initiative, focuses on building the capacity to statistically analyse occurrences of diabetes.
Our Biomedical Engineering Department ensures uninterrupted service at all times. We select the equipment, install it, commission it, train users and keep maintaining it.
Our General Services strives to provide quality in-house services, such as renovation projects, electro-mechanical works and related maintenance.
Our Business Development department builds and maintains relationships with strategic partners and identifies new avenues for DDI's services.
