Goals

Interns will develop and apply interpersonal and communication skills that is safe and effective.

Objective

Interns will acquire requisite knowledge of the course contents.

Competencies Expected:

• Interns will demonstrate good usage of English language necessary to build trust, understanding, and knowledge sharing.
• Intern will demonstrate appropriate usage of the different types of questioning and questions (close and open ended) to elicit pertinent information and to engage students in discussion.
• Interns will demonstrate proper usage of non-verbal communication techniques to gain better understanding, clarify thoughts and validate verbal messages of students and peers.
• Interns will apply the communication skills to engage in structured debriefing, evaluation, and open discussion with students as appropriate.
