DDI Concludes 2025 Summer Internship Program with Annual Scientific Poster Day

The Dasman Diabetes Institute, founded by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), organized its annual Scientific and Research Poster Day as part of the conclusion of its 2025 Summer Training Program. The event saw the participation of 36 male and female trainees, both undergraduates and recent graduates from various scientific and medical disciplines. 

During the event, scientific posters summarizing the research projects completed by the participants during their training were displayed under the supervision of a select group of specialists at the Institute. The event was attended by Dr. Faisal Hamed Al-Refaei, Acting Director General of the Institute, along with a number of researchers, physicians, and staff. 

Dr. Al-Refaei expressed his pride in the participants’ contributions, emphasizing that the program provides an integrated environment and realistic practical opportunities that contribute to honing scientific skills and enhancing the research capabilities of participants, whether they are students or recent graduates at the beginning of their careers. 

He noted that this year’s summer training program included diverse research projects and initiatives focused on diabetes and its complications. He emphasized that the goal of the three-month program is to equip participants with basic skills in scientific research, scientific writing, and working within integrated research teams. 

Dr. Al-Refaei concluded by emphasizing that Dasman Diabetes Institute commitment to providing a stimulating environment for the development of the new generation of researchers, with generous support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences. He wished all participants continued success in their professional and academic futures.
