Dr. Anil Thussu completed his D.M. in Neurology from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in December 1989, joined the Faculty of Neurology at PGI in November 1992. He worked as Associate Professor till April 2000. Since then he is working as Consultant & Head of Neurology at Al-Amiri Hospital Kuwait, a teaching hospital affiliated to the Kuwait University Faculty of Medicine. In addition, he is a member of Faculty of Neurology at Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialization and has actively contributed to establishing a board for training of neurology residents on the pattern of Canadian board.
He also is Consultant and Head of Neurology Division at Dasman Diabetes Institute, a premier, state-of-the-art institute for diabetes education, care and training. This institute has collaboration with Joslin Institute, Harvard Medical School, and conducts training programs with the Scottish University medical groups.
Dr. Anil is currently involved in post graduate teaching in medicine and neurology. He is into active research and has contributed about forty-five original papers in national and international journals. Current research interests are emerging therapies in multiple sclerosis.
