H.E. the Ambassador of France to Kuwait Visits DDI

We were honored to welcome H.E. Mr. Olivier Gauvin, Ambassador of France to Kuwait, who met with Dr. Faisal Hamed Al-Refaei, Acting Director-General of DDI.

The visit included a tour of the Institute and insightful discussions on potential areas of collaboration to advance diabetes care and research.

About DDI

Dasman Diabetes Institute (DDI) was established under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah, the late Amir of the State of Kuwait, and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) to combat the prevalence of diabetes in Kuwait.

Mission:

To address the diabetes epidemic in Kuwait through focused diabetes research, integrated prevention, training and education.

Vision:

To be the leading diabetes institute in the MENA region and to be recognized internationally.
