Reina has been in nursing 32 year and gained experience and knowledge on the way. She graduated in March 1989 with a BSc in Nursing from the College of Nursing in Capitol University. Taking and passing the Licensure examination in the June of the same year. Reina’s first job was in the Hospital linked to the Capitol University Medical Center (CUMC) from where she had graduated. She started working in CUMC August 1989, where she was assigned to Neurology – Neurosurgery area. In June 1990, Reina was offered the role as Clinical Instructor at the Capitol University. In this role, she was handling all clinical areas both in theory and practice.
Reina was interested in working abroad so that she could expand my nursing knowledge and practical skills exposing me to different cultures. She moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in June 1997 to work in King Fahad Hospital as a Quality Management Coordinator. In 2001, Reina moved to King Abdullah Hospital as Quality Management Specialist. This job involved bed management, disaster management, infection control and she was involved in the preparations for the accreditation survey with the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation for Healthcare Institutes (CBAHI). In May 2012, Reina moved to Kuwait to take up the role of Project Manager at Hadi Hospital. In Nov 2012, she joined DDI to be the Senior Registered Nurse – Infection Control. Reina has found the work here interesting and challenging.
