As part of Dasman Diabetes Institute’s mission to prevent, control and mitigate the impact of diabetes in Kuwait through effective programmes of training and education, and in pursuance of Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Health in Kuwait, University of Dundee, NHS Tayside and Aridhia Informatics, the second module of the Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma/MSc Diabetes Care and Education took place on Saturday 28th of January 2012.

The PG Cert/Dip/MSc in Diabetes Care and Education offers a distance learning postgraduate programme of study in Kuwait for all healthcare professionals who attended the Discovery Courses held at Dasman Diabetse Institute.

The programme is designed to enhance core knowledge in Modern Diabetes Care and Education and will allow individuals to design their own training programmes with topics chosen from clinical provision, education, research and management. The modules include “Reflective Professional Practice”, “An Introduction to e-Health Records Research”, “Modern Diabetes Care”, “Advanced Diabetes Nutrition”, and “Use of Simulation for Interprofessional Clinical Skills Educators”.
Approximately, 90 healthcare professionals of the various medical disciplines are currently enrolled in the programme.
