In partnership with Dasman Institute, Kuwait Red Crescent Society, and Pumps 4 Kids, Kuwait Charity Run organized its 2nd Kuwait Half Marathon.
Kuwait Half Marathon 2012 was held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Marina Crescent. Kuwait Half Marathon started and finished at Marina Crescent on the Gulf Road, participants joined the 21km and some joined the 10km run. The program started at 7:30am with a brief warm up before starting the run at 8am. More than 1000 participants joined the run and received a race bag containing: race bib, timing chip, t-shirt, a healthy snack of nuts, goodies and a medal. Every participant in Kuwait Half Marathon 2012 ran for a local charitable organization. For this event, Kuwait Charity Run donated 100% of the registration fees to the ‘Pumps 4 Kids’ campaign, which in partnership with the Red Crescent Society and Dasman Institute, aim’s to improve the lives of children with type 1 diabetes in Kuwait, by providing them with insulin pumps to replace the need for insulin injections. We are proud of the effort and generous donation made by each participant.
