More than 450 people visited the Dasman Diabetes Institute’s booth at Al Hamra Mall in Farwaniya, on 9th August 2012 for the “Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) Prevention Campaign” which is a campaign aimed to enhance the awareness of the public in the State of Kuwait about the signs of an early diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in children to avoid or to minimize the development of a life-threatening condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) through identifying and recognizing one of the primary symptoms of the condition such as night bedwetting in a “dry child”. This event provided blood sugar and lipids screening services along with medical consultations.
